Another View …

(This is from Paula to her peeps and followers)

So here I am in Kathmandu – it’s finally time!!!! YAYYYY.   I’m feeling good about everything and can’t wait to finally get walking and climbing.  I’m tired with messing with my stuff but y’all know me, I did find and see lots of cool animals here!

First there were the pigeons outside my window that needed to be fed granola bar crumbs (they were so cute!), and the cows wandering the streets of the city and the dogs – oh, I did want to go pet them and see if one wanted to be a mascot on the climb, but then thought better of it.  Lots of chickens and chicks and yesterday, I saw my first cat (unfortunately it was a black cat in front of the expedition offices – but it did not cross in front of me :-)

Oh, and I really liked the people, I saw so many cute kids, and they were all so friendly and saying “namaste!” with a big smile on their faces.  And one more thing, the best part of climbing Everest …. you can eat any desert you want!!!!!

Anyway, I want to say that I miss all of you and really appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers and messages.  I’m hoping to get back on from the villages along the way ….  Love ya all, Paula
